Yoga meditation philosophy - The soul is eternal

This is a great photo :)

Maybe those in younger bodies may not be able to "GET" what this photo is all about.

To older folks though this photo speaks a 1000 words.

This photo portrays a 'feeling' an intuitive feeling, an awareness or inkling that 'we' are seperate from the body. It doesn't matter how old our vehicle (our physical body) gets "WE" or "I" the eternal spirit spark, temporarily inhabiting the physical body - never feels old. It is only when an older person looks in the mirror that they are reminded of the fact that the body is indeed growing OLD.

We often hear our aunts or uncles, parents saying exactly that, " My body is getting older, but 'I' still  feel like a 16 year old.

This photo perfectly reflects the reality spoken about in ancient scripture, timeless knowledge which has been handed down since time immemorial, from one self realised soul to student and disciple.

The Supreme Soul speaks of this in detail in the Song of God (Bhagavad-Gita As It Is) where you can find numerous references to the fact that the soul is eternal, BUT the body is temporary, is born, experiences diseases, old age and finally when the body is too worn out, when it can no longer sustain life, can no longer accomodate the eternal soul. The soul at that point moves on and the body dies.

Yoga philosophy, the Vedas are comprised of thousands of volumes, jam packed with incredible information on life as it could be, should be, can be, depending on ones openness to spiritual wisdom.

We are all on different levels of spiritual growth, this does not matter, the main thing is to climb on board, have a look, check it out and discover what spiritual growth and wisdom is about. Find out how you can benefit, how your family and your friends can benefit. Just take some time, to look a little deeper.

There's an old saying, "The proof of the pudding is in the eating," Try dipping your toe in the ocean of transcendental knowledge and experience the freedom and joy for yourself.
