Yoga Meditation 4221 Holistic Yoga Parasympathetic Nervous system



What we learnt

*  How can the breath stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system?
If we practice breathing focusing on lengthening exhalations this stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system and reduces the heart rate. Breathing through the left nostril stimulates the right cerebral hemisphere. The parasympathetic nervous system is stimulated decreasing body heat, heart rate and blood pressure.
