Yoga Meditation says "Wake Up" A joyful practise
Wake Up
This is very interesting.
There are 2 ways to interpret this. If you were someone motivated by material goals, to achieve, to work hard for a new car, a holiday, a house, or to become a millionaire by the time you are 30 years old, you could take this to mean "Get up" don't just lie around in bed ..! OR maybe you might not sleep much at all. Many are so driven, so motivated that they sleep very little. Always thinking about their goals and how to achieve them.
In the same way a transcendentalist also has goals. Very different goals, not of this world ... but of another world. Their eyes are fixed on the spiritual world, and spiritual eternal goals. This is the second interpretation of this saying.
Yoga teachings refer to the living beings in this world as being 'asleep.' Asleep to our real life, a life which has nothing to do with this material world BUT a world that extends far beyond the reach of matter. So to "wake up" would mean to wake up to this beautiful transcendental knowledge and our true identity. To wake up and really start living.
We the living beings are eternal, full of bliss, full of knowledge.
If you are not experiencing this condition and would like to know a very simple and enjoyable practise which can help you gradually over time make this your reality contact us to find out what you need to do.
The ancient practise that we teach does not require you join anything, or pay any money, it is non-sectarian, fun and a very joyful. You can practise alone, or with family and friends. Find out how by coming to a free class.

Yoga meditation philosophy - The soul is eternal
This is a great photo :)
Maybe those in younger bodies may not be able to "GET" what this photo is all about.
To older folks though this photo speaks a 1000 words.
This photo portrays a 'feeling' an intuitive feeling, an awareness or inkling that 'we' are seperate from the body. It doesn't matter how old our vehicle (our physical body) gets "WE" or "I" the eternal spirit spark, temporarily inhabiting the physical body - never feels old. It is only when an older person looks in the mirror that they are reminded of the fact that the body is indeed growing OLD.
We often hear our aunts or uncles, parents saying exactly that, " My body is getting older, but 'I' still feel like a 16 year old.
This photo perfectly reflects the reality spoken about in ancient scripture, timeless knowledge which has been handed down since time immemorial, from one self realised soul to student and disciple.
The Supreme Soul speaks of this in detail in the Song of God (Bhagavad-Gita As It Is) where you can find numerous references to the fact that the soul is eternal, BUT the body is temporary, is born, experiences diseases, old age and finally when the body is too worn out, when it can no longer sustain life, can no longer accomodate the eternal soul. The soul at that point moves on and the body dies.
Yoga philosophy, the Vedas are comprised of thousands of volumes, jam packed with incredible information on life as it could be, should be, can be, depending on ones openness to spiritual wisdom.
We are all on different levels of spiritual growth, this does not matter, the main thing is to climb on board, have a look, check it out and discover what spiritual growth and wisdom is about. Find out how you can benefit, how your family and your friends can benefit. Just take some time, to look a little deeper.
There's an old saying, "The proof of the pudding is in the eating," Try dipping your toe in the ocean of transcendental knowledge and experience the freedom and joy for yourself.

Yoga Meditation Practice Part 2 - Add meditation to your life.

Just by doing it i was able to experience all the benefits that people desire to achieve from holistic yoga meditation, even if i wasn't initally after them. I could feel myself being more able to relax. Any tension from the day could be melted away with ease. My mind started becoming clearer and i could more effectively see and deal with the stressful situations that inevitably arise in our lives.
Because of this, stress levels naturally decrease. As stress levels decrease, all sorts of positive benifits can manifest in the body. I also noticed my relationships with people around me improving. I was finding myself better able to relate to others in a kind and understanding way, and experiencing a genuine care for their wellbeing.
Truly, every aspect of my life has improved. All the details that we struggle with are included in the benefits of this meditation practice. All that i needed to do was make the practice of holistic yoga meditation a part of my day.
It could very easily sound like one of those too good to be true kinds of things. But the beauty of it is there is nothing to loose. It is more than worth a few hours of your time to attend a couple of the classes and learn what it is all about. Guaranteed no regrets!
All the best on a wonderful journey!

Yoga meditation - Add Meditation To Your Life (Part 1)

"Why I decided to Add Holistic Yoga Meditation to my daily life"
Everyone i know who enjoys the practice of meditation and yoga, initally became interested in it for their own individual reasons. Whether it is a change of lifestyle that a person might be after, or simply a need to relax at the end of the day, i have found this meditation practice to cover all the bases.
Before i began to add holistic yoga meditation to my daily life i was really experiencing a feeling of confusion. I wanted to know what 'it' was all about and what i was supposed to be doing. I enjoyed wandering here and there searching for something that seemed unfindable.
Whenever i returned from my travels i was always left with a feeling of "well, now what?" I was just as uncertian about things as before i left and had less money! Eventually my sniffing around and real desire to know what 'it' was all about led me to a person who gave me the opportunity to learn about the real meaning of meditation and taught me how to apply it to my life in a simple and fun way.

Nadi Shodan - Read the benefits
How can the breath stimulate the sympathetic nervous system?
If we practice breathing while gently focusing on the breath held out, this stimulates the sympathetic nervous system and increases the heart rate. Studies have also shown that when we breath through the right nostril this also stimulates the sympathetic nervous system, which helps increase body heat, oxygen consumption blood pressure and heart rate. The left cerebral hemisphere is also stimulated.

Yoga Meditation 4221 Palm Beach - Yoga Breathing And Mala Beads
Yoga will teach you breathing techniques that will prepare you for other exercises. In yoga classes, students often learn breathing techniques that help calm and focus the mind. With these techniques you will be able to breathe more fully so there will be more oxygen going to your brain and throughout the other parts of the body.
Since yoga will help you to increase flexibility, you will be able to prevent some injures when you are doing other sports or exercises. Yoga can be viewed as an entire exercise regimen focused on stretching muscles. It also helps minimize and prevent injuries because yoga encourages you to work within your limits.
The safest way to practice yoga is in the comfort of a class and with a certified instructor. Ask your teacher for some tips on how you can improve on your yoga skills and use yoga to help you become better at other sports and exercises. You should always speak with your doctor when you are starting any exercise routine.
Beads are a Bhakti Yoga and Buddhist tool of meditation. They are moved in rhythm with the breath and mantra of the meditation. The action of moving the beads keeps sleep and distraction at bay and incorporates the whole body in a meditation. Each time the mantra is repeated, the fingers move to the next bead. The mala is meant to focus the mind and promote clear thought about the meaning of the mantra as it is chanted. Schools of thought, from India, to Tibet, to China recommend different ways of holding and counting Mala beads. However, each meditation should encompass the full cycle of beads. Longer meditations should include additional full cycles, starting at the summit and circling around again to the beginning. Reorient offers sandalwood Mala beads from Guangdong province in China. Each string has 108 beads.

Yoga asanas - Advantages and benefits

Yoga is different things to different people, so what it means to you will depend greatly on how you were introduced to it and how you enjoyed your initial experiences with it. For some people Yoga is simply a method of exercising that ensures they have a healthy supple body. For other people Yoga transcends a method of exercise and is a spiritual experience that allows them to find the balance and centring their lives need. This type of Yoga comes closer to a life philosophy than any other.
The mental advantages of Yoga are also quite clear. Yoga has an ability to redirect our thinking to a more positive frame. The most common form of Yoga used in corporate stress management is Hatha Yoga because it is a particularly potent form of physiological and psychological cleansing. In any environment stress is a normal occurrence, what differentiates a successful person from an unsuccessful one (and by extension a successful business from an unsuccessful one) is how we deal with that stress. Hatha Yoga, and Yoga in general provide the tools needed to deal with stress on a daily basis.

Yoga Meditation, Yoga Mantras, Yoga Philosophy, Kindness & Charity
The heart of man can be very generous, caring and charitable. We feel 'good' when serving others in this way, we are engaging in philanthropic activities, selfless works and this is indeed amazing for all those involved.
The kind men of this world try to help alleviate material suffering as much as possible, but we must remember that although we are temporarily residing in a body, we are not just a body, but rather 'WE' are spirit in essence. Therefore it is vitally important that we nurture and nourish the spirit also. A simple and enjoyable spiritual solution is provided to us via the kindness of spiritual doctors or masters. By taking the prescribed medicine we are able to revive our dormant but natural spiritual awareness.
If a naturally kind person wanted to add a spiritual component in with their charitable mix they could do so very easily. How is this possible you might ask. This simple but vital spiritual addition to ones life is made possible due to the many blessings given freely by the perfect masters who are expert spiritual physicians. They offer us the perfect solution to the woes and untold suffering experienced in this world, not only by mankind but ALL living beings.
Their spiritual medicine bag contains transcendental or spiritual sound vibrations also known as yoga mantras. Spiritual sound comes from the spiritual realm. To our ears these yoga mantras might seem like ordinary sounds, the difference being that these sounds carry with it a potency that is not present in material sound. This potency is the ability to touch and purify the heart of every living being who is fortunate enough to come into contact with it. Within every living body is a spirit soul. When a spirit soul comes into contact with spiritual sound that person is benefitted regardless of the body they are in.
"
To expose ourselves and others to spiritual sound vibrations truly is
the ultimate in humanitarian effort. Without discrimination or exception
everyone benefits".
Spiritual doctors are mankinds and all living beings best friend, by following their loving guidance we can become free. Free from the shackles of the mind and senses. Free from the wheel of samsara. They hand us the keys to another world, the world from which we came. They re-introduce us to our Supreme best friend who is with us eternally, seated within our hearts.
They help

Due to the kindness and blessings of our spiritual doctors we are able to finally find our way back home.

Holistic Yoga Meditation - holistic yoga | No dig garden / potatoes part 1

How To No Dig Potatoes
It's very easy to grow potatoes the no dig, organic way. They are a great source of vitamins, minerals and iron.
Just like most fruits and veggies a lot of the goodness lies just beneath the surface of the skin, so try to keep some of the potato skin intact when preparing to cook.
Let's get growing!
When I was a kid my parents always had a huge organic garden with every veggie growing in it that you can imagine. We were always getting busted for eating the peas off the vine. My parents had a brick shed which housed many different varieties of seed potatoes as well as a slew of other root veggies from the previous seasons crop.
Nowadays of course you might find that situation out woop woop somewhere but us city folks will have to purchase some seed potatoes from a nursery. You can use potatoes from the supermarket, but seed potatoes will bring better yields. You can 'chit' them first (allowing them to start to grow) simply by placing them in a sunny spot, before planting.

- Yukon Gold - This is a smaller variety of potato with golden flesh, and a rich, buttery flavor.
- Red Pontiac - This is a red-skinned variety that grows well in containers.

Holistic Yoga - Growing Potatoes in Containers Part 2

Seed potatoes are not actually seeds. Potatoes do not have seeds. They are actually specially grown miniature tubers that have been grown in controlled conditions to minimize the chance of disease. You should try to buy certified disease-free seed potatoes when possible.
Seed potatoes should be presprouted. Simply place the seed potatoes in a shallow tray and put the tray into a warm, sunny spot. Then spray them with some water or liquid seaweed. It should be about two weeks before sprouts form. When they are about an inch tall, you can plant them.
In order to get the best yield from your potato plants, you need to make sure that the stems grow to a good length. Hilling is traditionally used to aid in elongating the stems. In hilling, you plant your potato sprouts in a trench, gradually filling the trench with more soil as the stems grow. You can easily do this in your containers.

Holistic Yoga - Growing Potatoes in Containers

Growing Potatoes In Containers
Growing potatoes in containers may not make a lot of sense unless you want to grow varieties that are hard to find or are particularly expensive. Growing your standard russet potatoes or giant baking potatoes is probably going to be a waste of space, although it might be fun. But if you are like me, you want to make the most efficient use of the space you have available.
Potatoes reproduce through the eyes on potatoes. You've no doubt seen these sprouts on potatoes that have been sitting for too long in your cupboards. The eyes shoot out sprouts, and when you plant these sprouts, you can grow potatoes.
It is NOT recommended that you do this, however. Potatoes that are found in supermarkets are typically treated with chemicals to inhibit sprouting. They do not typically grow very well when planted, and might poison the soil if you try to grow something else in it later. You should grow your potatoes from what is known as seed potatoes.
